Meshtastic firmware support for the W12 is currently under active development and testing.

At this stage, the W12 can send and receive messages only through serial communication using the current test firmware. Official Meshtastic firmware and normal Meshtastic App connectivity are not yet available.

This product is currently recommended for developers, testers, and early adopters. 

Firmware availability and release timing depend on ongoing testing and approval by the Meshtastic development team.

Meshnology W12 – LR2021 Ultra Long Range LoRa Meshtastic Device Kit

The Meshnology W12 combines an upgraded ESP32-S3R8 MCU with the LR2021 LoRa chip, delivering improved processing performance, wider frequency support, and faster wireless communication.

It supports 150–960 MHz and 1.5–2.5 GHz frequency bands, making it suitable for Sub-GHz and 2.4 GHz applications. With FLRC technology, the maximum data rate can reach 2.6 Mbps for high-speed IoT data transmission.

The W12 supports Meshtastic, LoRaWAN, Modbus, and OTA upgrades. Its durable ABS enclosure and wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C make it ideal for outdoor monitoring, smart agriculture, industrial IoT, and long-range communication projects.
