Received the N37E a few days ago. Nice case design and layout. Solid. Battery lasts a long time. Works great. Overall better than my Heltek v4.
1 star removed because of an issue dealing with the e-ink cable. (You can see in the German youtube above that he struggles for a long time to figure out.) I give details here in case it helps someone.
(1) The assembly instructions show using a different (round) cable to the e-ink display. The flat cable provided had contacts on opposite sides and needs to be twisted 180deg to install the e-ink. I ended up doing a 45deg fold, then 90deg, then 45deg to get it oriented correctly. Once installed in the case, rotated the screen display in the app. Meshnology offered to send a different cable, but I think this solution is fine. Attached picture.
Also had a problem when I flashed the unit to the latest firmware. My mistake.
(2) The joystick didn't work with the factory flashed version 2.7.1. Latest version is 2.7.26. I used the Meshnology.org web flasher - it autodetected the M1 and didn't install the e-ink HUD. (The e-ink is frozen but the radio still functions.) The next time I manually selected the N37E. This time it gave the option to include the e-ink HUD software. All good.
All works fine now! Glad I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews.
